Chan Romero (born July 7, 1941) is a Chicano rock and roll singer and songwriter. He is best known for his 1959 hit song, "Hippy Hippy Shake," which has since become a classic rock and roll anthem. Romero was born in Billings, Montana and raised in Southern California. He started playing guitar at a young age and began performing in local clubs as a teenager.
